The Canadian government bowed to Russian blackmail and issued a permit to allow the return of a sanctioned Nordstream 1 turbine to Russia via Germany.

Canada is not only contravening its policy of isolating Russia, it is also setting a dangerous precedent that will lead to the weakening of the sanctions regime imposed on Russia, and the increase of Russian energy terrorism and blackmail.
